Burlesque of North America

What would the Twin Cities do without cool print art? Would we forget about great shows if we didn't have their posters hanging on our walls? Would we be decorating with the "Hang in There" cat poster? These questions might never be answered thanks to Burlesque of North America. The local print-art collective maintains a cool blog where you can read up on local print art, as well as a website that sells their work. They also often exhibit at First Amendment Gallery. Recently they've created T-shirts for Dre Day VII, and promo posters for a variety of cool local acts, including Heiruspecs and Atmosphere, as well as national groups like MGMT and the Melvins. The best part? You don't have to pay a lot to make your digs cool; many posters are in the $20-$35 range.

Thanks for the award City Pages! I must mention that Burlesque did NOT design the CD artwork and packaging for the new P.O.S. album "Never Better." That fantastic package was designed by the incredibly talented Eric Carlson of local art collective Hardland/Heartland.

Thanks for all of your support Twin Cities!
