I used to live in the area and played Meadowbrook for many years. I'm mentioning the course in a book I'm writing and would like to know what year the course flip-flopped the front nine and back nine.

Interlachen Country Club in Edina may be one of the finest golf courses in the nation, but the closest most of us will get to playing it is Meadowbrook, the lovely municipal course that lies adjacent. Meadowbrook is not a course for whiners—its hilly and hazard-strewn grounds are a decided challenge, and its many blind shots may not be everyone's cup of tees. But those attributes are also its attractions—the ponds and hills and Minnehaha Creek make it perhaps the loveliest course in town, and its terrain offers a true test for the confident golfer. The par-4 fifth hole is a good example. A downhill tee shot brings the creek into play, challenging golfers to keep their drive left, where it has more room to run. A good shot is rewarded with another challenge—a blind approach to the green. Beyond its beauty and gamesmanship, Meadowbrook has another advantage: As a municipal course, its fees are a reasonable $28 on weekdays and $32 on weekends. No, it's not Interlachen. But then again, you're not Tiger Woods.
