On a Wednesday not long ago, film fans packed into the neighborhood theater for a showing of I Am Legend and got lost in a world that appeared to have left behind only Will Smith. Despite the terrifying notion that the fate of humanity had fallen once again into the hands of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the theater's warm ambience, friendly staff, and the lingering, buttery smell of well-salted popcorn reminded viewers that no matter how bad it gets, the Riverview is the perfect oasis from a troubled world.
