Seimone Augustus

Seimone Augustus can't do it all on her own. That much is clear from the scoring phenom's first two seasons in the WNBA. Last season Augustus averaged 22.6 points per game—nearly double the next leading scorer on the team. She also knocked down more than half her shots, converted nearly 90 percent of her free throws, and even led the team in blocked shots. Despite these gaudy individual stats, the Lynx have compiled identical, abysmal 10-24 records in each of her first two campaigns. In a league where it generally doesn't even require a .500 record to make the playoffs, Minnesota hasn't competed in a postseason game since Dubya's first term. Surely Augustus would sacrifice some of those eye-popping numbers to still be competing come September. With the addition of top picks Candice Wiggins and Nicky Anosike (who battled each other in this year's NCAA championship game), along with veteran cogs Nicole Ohlde and Svetlana Abrosimova, Augustus should finally have enough help to end the team's postseason hiatus.
