American candy just isn't as fun as it used to be. Though M&Ms have expanded in colors and Milky Way now comes in a friendly "lite" version, somehow it all feels like the same-old. For a real candy adventure, try United Noodles. One of the largest Asian supermarkets in the Midwest, United Noodles has a ton of exotic candies, from shortbread dipped in strawberry-milkshake-flavored white chocolate, to spicy candied ginger, to gum in little individual boxes decorated with brightly colored fruits—a trove of sugary treats guaranteed to awaken your inner hummingbird. Some items are completely devoid of English descriptions, but they do have a dancing Hello Kitty on them—and venturing into the unknown is half the fun.

My Voice Nation Help

United Noodle (original location or the global market location) is the best we may have here in Minneapolis for Japanese delights. When it comes down to it - we're seriously lacking a truly good Japanese market. If you want to have the chance to fully enjoy an awesome Japanese shopping/eating adventure then you need to go to:Mitsuwa

Located just outside of Chicago this place offers just about everything you would want Japanese. Oh, and the candy/snack selection will kick the butt of our Mpls. asian grocery candy/snack selection any day.
