Crayons and balloons are all well and good when you're eating out with your kids, but you know what you really need? Wine. A big, hearty, grown-up glass of wine. And grown-up food to go with it. At D'Amico and Sons, while Junior is slurping up his mac-and-cheese, you can enjoy, say, penne with Italian sausage or a prosciutto and goat cheese pizza. Six very kid-friendly entrées (pizza, spaghetti, cheese lasagna) are usually just four bucks and come with milk, a cookie, and a toy. But on Sundays, they are entirely free with the purchase of an adult entrée. Be wary of the close quarters and first-daters at the Uptown location, however, and instead drive out to Edina, where you'll find a bright interior, family-sized tables, and more numerous high chairs. No matter what Junior's behavior, you'll feel comfortable and welcome--especially so if you order the house red or white for just $5 and let them keep your glass filled throughout your entire meal.
