Meet the local WB affiliate, where obliviousness is treated not as a privilege but an American birthright. No news-crawl here. And no solemn network anchors spinning scenarios of eschatological dread. Hell, the WB won't even preempt The Gilmore Girls for the State of the Union address. Plus which, the nightly one-two of Elimidate and Shipmates may well be the best hour of guilty pleasure to be had on television (think Joe Millionaire without all the class and wit).
