From November through April, skaters of all ages and speeds swarm the Metrodome for some hard-to-come-by warm winter exercise. Patrons can choose between two floors; the upper is for the speed demons, the lower for kids and equally unstable adult beginners. Rollerdome also hosts specialty nights, including workshops with pro skaters, singles nights, and a family-friendly New Year's celebration. Shorts are common attire, and Top 40 radio blares as the shuttered concession stands whiz by. As long as you don't catch a glimpse of the snow heaps in the parking lot, it might as well be June.
