Indeed, when we visited, the interior of its bland, brown-brick corner building was charmingly laden with empty electric sockets, and pieces of footprint-covered cardboard had been taped over the glass-block windows to prevent that pesky daylight from interfering with the picture on a top-quality TV. Here, "audiophile" doesn't mean "for snobs only": The price of a pair of speakers at Audio Perfection ranges from $250 to...uh, $175,000, and the sales staff gives you the feeling that their advice on the purchase of either will be sound.
