River Chocolate Company's truffles are the most intense and opulent we've ever tasted. And we eat a lot of chocolate. They're handcrafted with organic cream, butter, and the real stuff imported from Belgium, along with organic nuts, fruit, and the best spices. River Chocolate uses traditional methods to make small batches of eight very different flavors. Our favorite? Well, there's the Amore Truffle, a silky blend of bitter and semi-sweet chocolate with a hint of vanilla in a mysterious dark chocolate crust. Or maybe the Silk Road Truffle, with dried mango, pineapple, figs, dates, ginger, pecans, and coconuts. We'll have to taste again to decide for sure. River Chocolate partners Allen Whitney and Deirdre Davis set up shop at the St. Paul Farmers' Market throughout the season, and they also sell their succulent truffles and sauces in specialty food shops and co-ops throughout the metro area.
