More so than Minneapolis, St. Paul truly is a city of neighborhoods, of small towns interwoven into a big city. That's why we wish there were a Chet's every six blocks or so--a place that served fresh, simple dishes (vegetable salads, polenta, big roast legs of lamb with roasted potatoes...) in a cozy room that feels small-town in the best possible way. A place where servers and cooks are attentive to every detail of the dining experience, where nothing feels rushed, and where the overall sense is of an establishment more interested in quality of life and value than flashiness or glitz. That's so St. Paul!
