It's Greek To Me
Perhaps the most satisfying single piece of paper in the entire metro area is the Xeroxed sheet that gets laid on the table at the beginning of a meal at It's Greek to Me: a handwritten (and often hand-revised) list of the day's specials. Baby octopus in garlicky red wine, a sweet slab of winter halibut, braised lamb stew with raisins, hens broiled with scads of lemons, or some similarly appetizing, generously portioned platter of Mediterranean comfort food. Set some olives and a rosé on the table, gaze up at the murals of Greek Island scenes, and you're sure to share our belief that this buzzing room is the best Aegean dining this side of Queens.
