BEST BATTING CAGE

1500 Rice Street
St. Paul
651.489.4444

Located in a domed sports complex across the street from Arlington High School, this no-frills cage is a great all-weather slugging fix. Even when local teams are practicing on the adjacent indoor diamond, it never seems to get very busy. And there are plenty of off-hours to boot, since the cage is open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week. Best of all, taking a few cuts is cheap and easy. $1.50 will buy you 20 swings; $7 buys 100. Just purchase tokens at the window near the dome's main entrance, grab a bat and helmet, pick a speed--the machines throw up to 50 mph for baseball, and 60 mph for softball--and batter up.
