Chuck Foreman

Minnesota Vikings fans who remember the team's greatest era have fond memories of running back Chuck Foreman. During his seven seasons with the team (1973-79), he went to the Pro Bowl five times and set a host of team records. But last year federal prosecutors weren't interested in Chuck's career 5,879 yards rushing for the Vikes when they charged him with mail fraud for falsely claiming that his Eden Prairie townhouse had been sold, and for creating phony financial documents to get new loans in order to avoid foreclosure on the property. Foreman did manage to elude a stay in prison: After prosecutors praised his "substantial assistance" in helping out with other cases, in February the 50-year-old former running back was sentenced to three years' probation and had to pay $7,200 in restitution. As long as he doesn't go into business with former teammate and alleged fraudster Fran Tarkenton, everything should be fine from here on out.
