All beer and liquor is 75 cents off from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Additionally, Tracy's serves up different deals from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m. each night of the week, notably on Wednesday, when you can get a tap beer for 75 cents. (On weekends, the "Wooden Nickel" happy hour--buy one drink, get a token for a freebie on the next round--runs from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.) And from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, there's a different cheap-eats special each night of the week. Thursdays are when the revelry really can be a smart investment: A Wooden Nickel happy hour is abutted nicely by a dinner special of three tasty tacos for one lousy buck. One recent Thursday, two City Pages staffers thoroughly "researched" the bottled-beer selection and the tacos, and ran up a paltry tab of 26 bucks. Which will leave one very happy indeed.
