BEST OUTFIT WORN BY THE TIMBERWOLVES PERFORMANCE TEAM - 2000
Having spied various members of the performance team working out at the Arena Health Club in downtown Minneapolis, we know how hard it is to don the blue and black. One poor woman spends more than two hours a day, three days a week on a StairMaster. Two hours! (And you thought Bill Walton had bad joints.) That said, the spandex body suits, glittery sports bras, and other form-fitting getups just aren't happening. When the dancers dress like "dancers," all those carefully choreographed numbers get lost in the, ah, translation. That's why we get so tickled when the dance team dresses like a bunch of gym rats: baggy T-shirts, sensible shorts, and tennis shoes to match. Like Mom says: It looks good and it's practical. Plus, if you want to eat once in a while, no one will notice.
