We love our co-ops, oh yes we do. But when it comes to a natural foods market with all the trimmings, we can't deny this honor to the newly opened Whole Foods just west of Yuptown in Minneapolis. Aisles are wide. Cashiers are plentiful. The produce section, which is lighted like an art gallery, has to be seen to be believed. Besides the usual natural-food fare, there's a bounteous seafood counter, helpful butchers, and an assortment of artisan cheeses that puts many of the Cities' gourmet curdbrokers to shame. And the prepared-foods options would merit consideration in a separate category, if we had one.
