Campiello is proof positive that you can forgo the carving-station-and-warming-tray routine and still enjoy a meal lavish enough that you'll be sleeping it off all afternoon. Once you're seated, unobtrusive servers are quick to arrive with coffee or tea and platters of coffeecake and fruit. They also ask you to select a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice, champagne, or a mimosa to sip while you're pondering the menu. The list is short (about a dozen items), and you can't go wrong with selections like basil pesto and potato frittata; a version of eggs Benedict that relies on spinach, asparagus, and mushrooms in place of meat; and a hash studded with smoked bacon and red peppers. Many items are accompanied by a potato gratin in place of hash browns. An outdoor terrace beckons during the temperate months. Brunch is served Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
