BEST SHOOTING RANGE Minneapolis 1999 -
With reasonable prices (seven dollars for one person with one gun, three dollars for each additional person or gun) and accessible hours (10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday) Burnsville Pistol Range is no private enclave. Call it the people's shooting range: a safe, professional environment for amateur marksmen and -women to practice steadying the hand and sharpening the eye. Whether you're improving your shot for self-defense or sport, the professional staff at Burnsville is helpful, patient, and safety-conscious to a T. Paper targets are available for 15 to 75 cents, and the staff didn't object when we drew faces on them--even taping one human-shaped target to another in an imaginary hostage scenario. The digital targeting system moves the sheets of paper to your distance specifications (the range's standout feature), which allows you to calculate to the inch where your aim begins to falter. We killed the hostage--guess who?--at 30 feet.
