Public toilet facilities are highly valuable real estate of a sort; thus the axiom "location, location, location" applies. Sure, the facilities here aren't breathtaking--although the red-brick walls do add a nice touch. They are, however, clean and functional, and the surroundings can't be beat. Before and/or after you satisfy nature's urge, you can lounge to your heart's content within the greenhouselike space, surrounded by 40-year-old Mexican fan palms and calamondin trees and gazing up at Frank Gehry's outsize Plexiglas fish. Furthermore, unlike most public johns, here you don't have to pretend you came in to buy something. Available for relief Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday till 5:00. Monday you have to hold it in.
