Lava Lounge's newly opened, roomier Lyn-Lake digs are decorated in blue and silver instead of red and black, giving the raver shop a new mood that's light, sleek, and airy instead of dense and sinful. Of course, we'd shop at Lava Lounge even if it were in a Ridgedale kiosk: For trashy clothes and assorted lifestyle accessories, there's hardly another choice. The store's selection of phat pants, club-girl tees, rubber dresses, and shiny shirts includes a handful of choice brands barely represented elsewhere in town, including the irrepressibly sparkly Serious brand. Lava Lounge also stocks a formidable selection of shoes, jewelry, shades, skateboards, and, um, water-filtered tobacco pipes.
