Host Pete Lee probably wouldn't even think of his wonderful weekly program as a blues show. Handy, Fats Waller, and Bessie Smith--and then mixes them for a juke-joint dance from an imaginary evening that spans half a century. Here the Dominoes do the deed with Big Mama Thorton, and Joe Williams is as rock 'n' roll as Fats Domino. Take our advice: Find a free Wednesday afternoon, sit down with a pen and paper, write down the name of everything you hear; then go to the store and stock up your own juke joint.
