BEST BED & BREAKFAST

1900 Dupont Avenue S.
Minneapolis
374-1973

Tucked in among the mansions of Minneapolis's highbrow Lowry Hill neighborhood, this 102-year-old Colonial Revival residence became a B&B a decade ago, when current owner Chris Viken bought the place. The four well-furnished rooms go for $89 to $129 a night (including a breakfast of pastries and fruit), and the address is a stone's throw from such tourist spots at the Guthrie, the Walker, and Lake of the Isles. Guests worn out from sightseeing (or too lazy to begin with) may retire to a cozy library stuffed with leather couches, well-worn backgammon boards, and fading National Geographics.
