Erin Sayer's Prince stencils

Even though the Purple One left this mortal Earth last April, the echoes of his influence can be seen and heard all over town. That includes art tributes like Erin Sayer’s spray-paint series. Spotting a Prince stencil by the local muralist and painter is a magical treat, like a Minnesota-flavored Where’s Waldo. After the icon’s death, Sayer began spray-painting his image throughout the Twin Cities. The gorgeous stencil, featuring Prince in all his purple, confident, afro’d glory, can be spotted on neighborhood fences, on shed doors, on existing murals, and outside businesses in north, south, and northeast Minneapolis. Keep your eye out for him.
