Since 2011, Boneshaker Books has been a bright literary spot in the Seward neighborhood. Here you'll discover hard-to-find radical and progressive books and publications, a fun children's section, and great lit, all in a shop with a cozy neighborhood feel. The space is mostly volunteer-run and hosts a slew of happenings, including open work sessions and reading clubs like Cracked Walnut (short fiction) and the Twin Cities Queer Book Club. Another quirky (and practical) perk to this business: If you're local and you order a book online, it will be delivered via bike. The space is also home to the Women's Prison Book Project, which seeks to supply free reading materials for female/trans prison inmates.
