There are few restaurants that qualify as culinary royalty the way Rainbow Chinese does. But though Tammy Wong owns a restaurant that has stood a three-decade test of time, she is still not one to rest on her laurels. Lately, she's been tightening up the menu. While old favorites remain, like kungpao beef with pea pods and bell peppers or general Tso's chicken, new vigor infuses the menu, as in the funky and spicy shrimp papaya salad, turnip cakes pan fried with eggs, and deep fried bao. With these, you'll eat the way Wong and her family do. And when dining here, you're always made to feel part of the family.
