It turns out there is such a thing as too much beer. Last night's growler will go flat; you'll pour half of it down the drain, then your empty brown jug will sit along with the rest of your Northeast collection on a shelf full of dusty, musty containers in the basement. Enter the Crowler, a 750-ml can that's appearing in taprooms across the state. At roughly two pints, it's half the size of a growler and the perfect amount of beer. Also, it doesn't require cleaning or a deposit, it's conveniently portable, and the oversized silver cans feel awesome in hand. It's plenty big, but also practical.
