Booze, bands, beach volleyball, bowling. While most summer fests can offer those first two, it's more difficult to find that rare outdoor show where you can take a break in between bands to bowl a quick 10 frames. That's part of the reason why the two-day Memory Lanes Block Party is our best outdoor show. Last May, Tickle Torture, Rupert Angeleyes, Southside Desire, and more helped ring in summertime with melodious jams outside of the Seward bowl hole. Here's hoping this year's stellar lineup — featuring Mixed Blood Majority, Legendary Shack Shakers, Tiny Deaths, and many more — comes close to Tickle Torture's glitzy, pyrotechnical set from last year, complete with sexy, sexy fireworks.
