The first annual Twin Cities Donut Crawl took off at more of a sprinter's pace, selling out so fast organizers had to add a second day to the event. We seem to really love our halos of yeasty, cakey, crumby dough, so much so that we want to march shoulder to shoulder, from Bogarts Doughnuts to Mel-O-Glaze to A Baker's Wife, professing our undying devotion on a sugary pilgrimage. And next year's event will no doubt bring even more bakeries and crawlers into the Twin Cities Donut Crawl fold. Now if only they found a way to add beer into the mix. Surly Coffee Bender anyone?
