Best of
the Twin Cities
There are precious few places in space and time where you can spot hundreds of Doctors and Daleks queuing up patiently, but Minneapolis was home to one of them, if only for a few hours. Doctor Who's Matt Smith popped into the city's first-ever Comic Con, and initiated the longest line we've ever seen snaking through the Convention Center. Whovians came out of the woodwork, sonic screwdrivers in hand and fezzes planted firmly atop their heads, hours before Smith was even scheduled to appear at the Con. What makes this line worth the wait wasn't just seeing the 11th Doctor chat about his favorite adventures, it was the cosmic friendships forged between complete strangers whose ears will forever perk up at the familiar "whoosh" of the TARDIS.
