This store had us at "vintage coats." We have picked up some awesome ones at Everyday People, and for cheap — not to mention mod dresses from the '60s, rad '70s cardigans, and loud '80s miniskirts. There's an eclectic selection here; not everything is vintage, as modern trendy items are well represented, but everything is cool. The clothes, footwear, and accessories for men and women are filtered through the groovy aesthetic of the shop's buyers, who have great taste and sharp eyes. Nothing here is damaged or otherwise undesirable. Plus, the spacious digs of the Selby Avenue space and the friendliness of its staff make for a most pleasant shopping experience. Even your somewhat snotty, thrift store-averse friend will likely love this place, and maybe you can finally convince her that jeans and shoes are better when they're broken in anyway. Everyday People doesn't have stores in Minneapolis anymore, but that just makes it easier to score all your sweet finds in one location.
