Brothers Sameh and Saed Wadi apparently weren't satisfied with heading Saffron, one of the most critically acclaimed fine-dining restaurants in all of the Twin Cities, so back in 2010 the duo went rogue and brought their incredible skills to the streets with the World Street Kitchen food truck. Fast-forward a few years, and now Lyn-Lake has been blessed by their creative, worldly palates in the form of a brick-and-mortar WSK restaurant. All of the truck's badass charm is thoroughly intact, with 40-ounce Miller High Life bottles right alongside the local taps and a menu that ties together favorites popularized by the mobile WSK and new dishes designed to complement them. You can't miss the MFC Biscuit Sandwich, the Wadis' take on the Southern favorite that arrives as a gloriously large, extra-crispy piece of bird slathered with spicy feta and served between two toothsome cheddar-herb biscuits. The wildly popular Yum-Yum Rice Bowls have only gotten better in a stationary kitchen — those fluffy poached eggs are as sublime as ever, but somehow the accompanying meat or tofu pairing (caramelized lamb belly being a standout) have become even more refined. Non-carnivores will find plenty to love as well, with offerings such as a sweet onion-stuffed falafel "burger" and squash tacos. With snappy counter service, plenty of seating, and bar-friendly hours, WSK makes a great stop along the Uptown Bar crawl, especially if one is in need of the fortifying powers of the Bangkok Burrito.
