If your weekend starts on, say, Friday at 6 p.m. and lasts until midnight on Sunday, then at quittin' time you've opened a 54-hour window in which you can eat, drink, and be irresponsible without those clowns at Initech or Penetrode trying to lure you in for some unpaid overtime. Luckily, if you find yourself awake and hungry in the south metro area after the witching hour, chances are very good that Richfield's Andale Taqueria will be open and ready to serve up whatever you need. This sleekly designed, colorful former Ember's keeps admirably late hours during the week, but on Friday and Saturday it serves quesadillas, alhambres, and platillos until 3 a.m. This means you can stop in for a very late snack, then catch 40 winks in your car or on your friend's couch until it's time for some breakfast tacos when they reopen at 7 a.m. Their pollo a la Mexicana is mildly spiced and very juicy, and the al pastor torta, which comes with a side of preserved vegetables, is one of the tastiest and most filling $8 sandwiches around.
