The Keewaydin neighborhood is a sleepy area with most of life's needs: a post office, a library, a shoe store, and the notable al Vento restaurant. Still, it wasn't until 3 Tiers took over the former Scandia location that the corner of 50th Street and 34th Avenue saw a social uptick. Marketed primarily as a bakery, 3 Tiers has since expanded into a bistro and bar as well, offering up homemade sandwiches and soups with something of a Korean flair, and a dinner menu heavy on nightly specials and seasonal vegetables. It's a place to get a local or Asian beer, wine on tap, enjoy some Peace Coffee, or to swing in and grab some pastries for the family. While the quality is upscale, prices are modest, so you can complement your lunch, dinner, or patio beer with a bakery item for dessert without breaking the bank.
