You can load up a buffet with all the sad, flat pancakes and ham carving stations you like, but we all know that does not a good brunch make. What we truly want from that blessed Sunday late-morning meal is to gather together and discuss the previous night's activities, cram in all varieties of sweet and savory carbohydrates, and, of course, enjoy a damn good bloody Mary. With dishes like Strip Club's glorious Logger's Tower (pancakes, ham, and eggs, flavored with rosemary and scallions and doused in syrup); duck confit hash with creme fraiche; unsurprisingly outstanding steak and eggs; and a spicy, umami-rich, hand-crafted bloody Mary garnished with a hunk of salami, this meat-centric restaurant on the east side of St. Paul covers just about every base. You're responsible for your own gossip.
