Best Swarm Player

Ryan Benesch

When Ryan Benesch was signed by the Swarm in July 2009 from the Edmonton Rush, a lot of fans weren't sure the Kitchener, Ontario, native would display his star potential right away alongside veteran attack men Callum Crawford and Aaron Wilson. But his star is most assuredly shining now. Since last season, starting in February 2010, he's notched hat tricks in six games. In one meeting against Calgary last year he scored a team-record 11 points. And this year he was named to the National Lacrosse League's Western Conference All-Star Team. This season, coming out of the All-Star break, the Swarm stand a decent chance of at least claiming their conference championship, in no small part due to Benesch's productivity. Not bad for a guy nicknamed the Bowling Ball.
