We already liked drinking wine at Spasso for one big reason: no markup. (Seeing a bottle of wine on a restaurant list that's priced three times what it costs at the liquor store is a sure way to give your wallet a seizure.) But Spasso allows diners to bring bottles they've purchased from the owners' adjacent wine shop into the restaurant and drink them with their meal, sans corkage fee. What could be better? Why nothing, we thought, until we learned that the restaurant recently added complimentary car service to make enjoying wine that much easier. Call in advance—a few weeks ahead if you're looking for a prime weekend time—and the restaurant's driver will arrange to pick up your party (up to six people at one location) in a Cadillac Escalade, take you to Spasso, and deposit you home afterward. And he'll travel anywhere within a half-hour drive of the restaurant. So go ahead, hand over the keys and have that extra glass of pinot.
