If you're the kind to spend a few hours outside on a pleasant summer's day whacking a tennis ball around a concrete court, the Twin Cities blesses you with many excellent options. But one pair of courts towers over the rest—literally. Halfway up Tower Hill in elegant and winding Prospect Park, the courts are just a two-minute climb to one of the few panoramic views of our irredeemably flat part of the world. But the courts have more than just height going for them. They're clean, they come complete with a nearby drinking fountain, and they're surrounded on three sides by woods, which shelter the courts from rally-killing breezes. For the youngsters, an added bonus: The forest is fertile ground for stray ball-hunting expeditions.
