Last year's finest Lynx was also the league's best rookie. Seimone Augustus brought her work ethic, unstoppable elevation, and astonishingly efficient arc-and-swish from LSU to the Target Center just in time to replace traded veteran Katie Smith. Augustus walked into Smith's position (shooting guard by preference; small forward if need be) and has filled it admirably. At the line, she's 90 percent—fifth-best in the league. Augustus averaged 22 points per game and almost always led her team in scoring (only one WNBA player scored more). Her smile, attitude, and attentive defense make the team worth watching.
