Green Acres is the kind of hill you can bomb—a rarity on these here plains. Actually, it's two hills: the Family Hill, for parents and their tots, and the Big Hill, which is exactly what it sounds like. There's a pond at the bottom of the big 'un, so it's off limits before January or until the ice is sufficiently frozen. But the slopes themselves are impervious to global warming, thanks to Green Acres' willingness to pull out snow machines on tepid weekends. $13 gets adults and teens their own inner tubes; $9 for kids 12 and under. Oh, and there's a tow rope—just one more reason this place trumps your neighborhood hill.
