Last time we were in Golooney's it was a frigid day, and back in the little table area a dozen people crouched, each holding a slice of pizza as crisp as a playing card (but tasting nothing like one), reveling in the $2-or-less treats. Both reheated and fresh out of the oven, these slices are perfection: spicy sauce; crisp, crisp (but not dry) crust; not too much cheese; and your choice of good toppings, from fennel-touched sausage to (ironic, no?) sun-dried tomatoes. Here's the no-sun-dried-tomato part: Golooney's is strictly paper napkins and blue-collar prices. A 16-inch cheese pizza is $10.95, toppings only $1.75, and even something fancy like a 16-inch white pizza with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, oregano, feta cheese, and mozzarella costs only $13.95. Why, with all the money you save you can buy your own sun-dried tomatoes, fill the bathtub with them, and have a night you'll never forget.
