After a disappointing SummerSlam last night, WWE fans might not be too high on Vince McMahon’s House of Pain, but, if you can get forgive the oddly stacked card and uninspired storytelling, then this morning brings possibly redemptive news.
WWE Monday Night Raw will roll through the Target Center on October 24, its first show of the year in the Twin Cities. Though former Gopher and suplexing automaton Brock Lesnar isn’t advertised as performing, the show will see the local debut of Finn Balor, who won the newly minted Universal Championship at SummerSlam, and is impossibly popular already after only a month on the show.
Also advertised are Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, WWE Tag Team Champions the New Day, and Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, who have recently been paired as the bosom bro-y heel tag team JeriKo. Curiously enough, Sasha Banks is also promoted for the event as the Women’s Champion, though she lost that title last night to Charlotte and was subsequently removed from all live events for the next 33 days.
RAW, who recently split their roster from sister show SmackDown Live, also boasts superstars the likes of Rusev (current United States Champion), The Club, Cesaro, and Enzo and Cass, all of whom could likely make appearances.
