Win free tacos for a year: Free things to do this week

These tacos could be yours for free.

These tacos could be yours for free. Bar Luchador

This week in free things to do we have a few rooftop movie screenings, a farmers' market event that works as a perfect date night, and the chance to win an epic amount of free tacos.

Bar Luchador Birthday Bash
Bar Luchador is turning two this week with an epic party. Happy-hour specials start up at 5 p.m. and run until last call. That means $2 rail drinks, $3 tap beers, $10 off cocktail pitchers, $2 mystery shots, and half-off pitchers of beer and canned beer. At the stroke of 11 p.m., Minnesota pro-wrestler Thunderfrog will announce the winner of free tacos for a year. You can enter to win by posting #LuchadorBirthdayBash on Twitter and Instagram. 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday. Bar Luchador, 825 Washington Ave. SE, Minneapolis.

Scarface
Watch Al Pacino chew scenery in this trashy -- but classic! -- tale of a gangster who tries to live big and massively fails, killing everything around him as he faceplants into a cocaine hill (literally). Score half-price bottles of wine, with happy hour starting at 9 p.m. Monday, 8-11 p.m. CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar (Downtown Minneapolis), 825 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis; 612-332-1133.

Brit's Annual Outdoor Movie Series
Every Monday through September 4, Brit’s Pub in downtown Minneapolis clears the lawn bowlers from its rooftop greensward for an outdoor screening of British cinema. Tonight's film is Bridget Jones’s Baby, the cringey third installment in the popular rom-com series starring Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant, and Colin Firth. Two out of three in that lineup are Oscar winners, so it must be good, right? Head over before the show starts, grab a pint of Guinness, and watch the sun go down. Visit www.britspub.com for more information. All ages. 8:30 p.m. Monday. 1110 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis.

Mill City Night Market
Screw getting up at the buttcrack of dawn for the farmers market. Mill City's Night Market invites people to shop for veggies and other treats in the evening. Head over after work and you'll find local farmers and food vendors to sample and shop from. Picnicking is encouraged, with curries, tacos, BBQ, and pastries available. Beer, wine, and cider will also be offered tonight from Day Block Brewing Company. Free yoga can be found at 6 p.m., and live music starts up around 5 p.m. 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Commons, 425 Portland Ave. S., Minneapolis.
