Each summer, the Walker Art Center puts together a series of movie screenings in Loring Park. Selections are usually inspired by a current exhibition at the museum, and music kicks off each event before the films start at dusk.
This year's selections will be inspired by "International Pop," an exhibition exploring the pop-art movement on a global level. Films include the the psychedelic, sex-fueled Barbarella, starring Jane Fonda in the iconic title role; the equally campy and colorful Danger: Diabolik, about a jewel thief; and Batman: The Movie, a joyously goofy flick that is the exact opposite of every single Batman reboot that followed.
