Walker Art Center a candidate for America's Best Restroom
Could this be the best restroom in America?
It's not the typical honor that a museum would boast about, but it's a good thing nonetheless: The Walker Art Center is a finalist in America's Best Restroom competition. Folks who are fans of the modern-art museum's striking black-and-white powder rooms can vote online through October 26.
The list of competitors were selected based on factors including cleanliness, appearance, innovation, function, and design. Other locations that made the grade include Las Vegas's Vanity Nightclub, Chicago's Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Hollywood's Hollywood Bowl, and San Francisco's Gitane Restaurant. Chicago's Field Museum took top honors last year.
In order to narrow the list of nominees down, survey editors went through hundreds of submissions sent in by fans of quality public loos. The competition is hosted by Cintas, a company that sells hygiene products and services to businesses.
You can cast your vote at Cintas's website here. Be sure to check out part winners and the Hall of Fame slideshow as well.
