Last week, it was announced that high-end retailer Versace is setting up shop in Minnesota's mega-mall. Fast-fashion giant Zara is arriving there sometime soon as well. Now we hear that do-good shoemaker TOMS plans to come to the Mall's new north-side expansion.
This will be the first TOMS in Minnesota. In addition to making a variety of shoes, including sneakers, slip-ons, flip-flops, and vegan shoes, the company also sells sunglasses and other eye-wear, bags, and coffee. The shop is known for its one-for-one policy of funding international projects for each customer purchase. This includes sending shoes, clean water, and prescription glasses worldwide to places that need supplies, while also supporting safe medical access and anti-bullying campaigns.
The 2,000-square-foot space will be located across the hall from Zara in the north wing. No opening date has been set yet, but the Mall anticipates that, like most of these news shops, it will be open in time for holiday shopping.
