Beer and free movies always make for an awesome way to start your week. At this happening, the brewery will be lowering its 14' HD screen to show cult-classic comedy Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, and Amanda Seyfried. 7 p.m. Monday.
Third Thursday: Local Current Showcase

Celebrate the Current with host Andrea Swensson. Local bands jamming out include Ana Tuiran, TABAH, DIVES, and Dizzy Fae. In the MAEP galleries artists Ryan | Laidlaw and Rose Sexton will be sharing new works, there will be beer and other treats available for purchase, and folks who sign up to become a member (also free) gain access to “State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now.” Commemorate the evening in the photobooth, and make your own gig poster to take home. 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Taste of Stadium Village

Fans of killer happy hour deals need look no further than this Thursday’s Taste of Stadium Village, where patrons will find $1 food items at various businesses from 4 to 7 p.m. That includes mac ‘n’ cheese slices from Mesa Pizza, chicken fingers at Raising Cain’s, chicken tacos at Bar Luchador, and chili cheese tater tots at Sally’s Saloon. Beer specials will abound as well, with $2 Summits flowing from 4 p.m. to bar close. Some spots will be offering samples and other freebies as well, including Fireball shots from Playoffs Sports Lounge. How could that go wrong? 4 to 7 p.m. food, 4 p.m. to close beer. Thursday.
