This week in free things to do we have a textile blowout, a glam Fashion Week MN party, and an open-mic night with plenty of beer. Come take a look and plan your week for cheap.

Fashion Week MN is in full swing with parties to attend and runway shows to take in. Unlike many of the scheduled events, this happening is free to attend. Part pop-up shop, part party, revelers will be able to check out wares from MartinPatrick 3, D.NOLO, Flirt Boutique, Flash & Bang, and others. Enjoy a glass of wine, or sip on the cocktail of the night, the Sparkling Stiletto. DJ Lenka Paris will be spin tunes. Be sure to dress your best, as prizes will be given to the best looks of the night and social-media engagement is encouraged. The event is free, but RSVP'ing is encouraged. Fabric Blowout Sale

Shop a variety of cotton materials, and get started on that spring/summertime dress/skirt/purse before the weather gets super cold again. Think you have what it takes to make audiences laugh? Test your mettle at Sisyphus Brewery's Amateur Hour, an evening that features a headlining act and an open mic for all. Oh, and there will be plenty of beer, seeing that the event takes place at a brewery. The evening is hosted by Corey Adam. Signup is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Is it your first time? Put a star on your name and organizers will be sure to squeeze you in. 8 p.m. Thursday.
