Minneapolis Bike Week kicked off this Sunday. Looking to celebrate on the way to work? This Tuesday, cyclists will be invited to enjoy free coffee and pick up food from food trucks at the Green Institute. There will also be a bike repair station should your wheels need a tuneup, and live music will be sure to entertain. 7-9 a.m. Tuesday.

For this show, Kit Leffler will examine cairns, geographical markers used to so signify graves, ceremonial grounds, astronomical points, and other things. Through recent works, the artist will explore this concept, folding in bits of sci-fi lore, digitally altered images, and old-school advertising. Come for the show, stay for the happy hour, which runs from 3 to 7 p.m. and features $3 tap beers, rails, and domestics bottles. 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

The Future of Fourth
(Fourth Street, between Minnesota and Wacouta Streets in downtown St. Paul)

During the day this Thursday, folks will be invited to enjoy Fourth Street as a "greenway for a day." Meaning, it will be closed to car traffic, but open for walkers, cyclists, and other types of non-motorized forms of transportation. Along the road, there will be hands-on arts activities, pop-up boutiques, parks offering work stations for those looking to get stuff done outdoors, food, and other placemaking happenings.
