The Lovely Creatures Cabaret performs Friday night

The Lovely Creatures Cabaret will grace the stage again this month with its cast of sassy teases performing burlesque. Alongside the dancers will be magicians, live music, and acrobats, taking the audience back to a more Vaudeville type of entertainment with plenty of planned--but artistically executed--wardrobe malfunctions.

[jump] Friday night the Lovely Creatures Cabaret will take the stage at Ground Zero in Minneapolis for not only a bit of skin and dance, but also aerial acrobatics and acrobatic yoga (a.k.a., Acro Yoga) by Minneapolis-based Swim Team. The vaudeville-style cabaret will also feature guest performers Dahlia Dulce and Barbara Gordon, and the sounds of Gabe Barnett and the Big House Jug Band.

The Lovely Creatures Cabaret is a local group of performers that present a variety show in the truest sense of the word. Each cabaret production includes aerial acrobatics by Zyra, belly dancing by Kajal Belly Dance Company, and burlesque dancer Giza Sangria, plus magicians and comedians.

The show is 18+, and starts at 10 p.m. Tickets are $8 for those 18 to 20 years old, and $6 for those 21 and over. From 10 until 11 p.m., Ground Zero will be aiding in the entertainment with a two-for-one drink special.
